With all the screen time we’re all logging, it can be important to remind people to pay attention to our bodies, and specifically our eyes. I’m trying to start my workshops with a recommendation that people change what they’re focusing on – look out the window, or across the room, or in a big slow circle, just to relieve a little eye fatigue. (People seem to roll their eyes a lot when I’m talking anyway, but I figure it’s nice to remind them to do it intentionally too.)

I usually offer this as an optional activity in the minutes before we get started, but you could use it as a formal centering/coming-together practice.

I got this idea from Joe Lambert and Brooke Hessler at Storycenter, http://storycenter.org
